Originally drafted out of Sweden, Marcus Högberg brought poise and size to the crease during
his time with the Ottawa Senators organization. Splitting time between the AHL, ECHL and
NHL, he made 42 career appearances with the big club, gaining valuable experience through a
rebuilding era. Though his NHL window was brief, Högberg left a solid impression with his calm
demeanor and occasional flashes of brilliance in goal.
Presented here is Marcus Högberg’s Hockey Fights Cancer warm-up jersey, worn during
pregame on March 25, 2021, ahead of the Senators’ matchup with the Maple Leafs. The jersey
is Adidas size 58, as indicated in the collar, and features the Adidas logo on the reverse
neckline and the NHL shield on the front collar. A Hockey Fights Cancer patch adorns the left
shoulder, with an Adidas crest patch on the right chest.
The number 1 is displayed on the back in white over purple tackle twill, detailed with a subtle
ribbon pattern printed throughout the white fabric — a tasteful nod to the cause. HOGBERG
appears in purple twill on a black nameplate. A fight strap is affixed inside the jersey. Högberg
has signed the back numeral in bold black marker, with the signature remaining crisp and clean.
The jersey remains in excellent condition, with no major flaws or visible damage and comes with
an official team COA signed by Ottawa’s head equipment manager. The COA is housed in a
black presentation binder featuring a gold Senators logo embossed on the front, adding an
elegant finish to this one-of-a-kind piece.
