A fantastic duo of items celebrating the twilight of Wayne Gretzky’s incredible 20-year National Hockey League career, offered here is a pair of Hespeler gloves modeled after those worn by Gretzky that have been signed by him as well as a Wayne Gretzky New York Rangers “Lady Liberty” on-ice pro style jersey. Starting with the gloves, featuring the extra-long open cuffs that Wayne was known for using throughout the duration of his career and decorated in the Rangers red, white and blue colours, the gauntlets remain unused while starting to show cracking and missing areas to the top leather layer from age. The red “99” on the front of each glove displays with some wear along with bleeding around the edges. Gretzky has signed the cuff of the right glove with a silver ink signature that displays without issue, with a UD hologram numbered “BAF58833” affixed underneath and accompanied by a matching UDA COA.
The jersey, a Starter made mesh garment, has brand, center ice and size “56” labeling sewn to the interior collar. Decorated over the front with the Rangers “Lady Liberty” alternate crest that features embroidered and textured details, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Wayne’s “99” in familiar drop shadow tackle twill numerals with “Gretzky” across the top of the upper back in matching style. Alternate style Rangers shields are found residing over each shoulder while pro on-ice style features are found such as reinforced elbows and a fight strap on the interior. Gretzky specific customizations include double Starter and NHL shield logos embroidered over the reverse hem. The jersey remains in good condition with no flaws whatsoever.
