An attractive EX-MT #1-Gump Worsley card numerically leads this pieced-together-over-the-years batch of 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee cards, with however most of the rest of the first ten Canadiens creased and/or not so nice. Serge Savard’s RC is VG and then the percentage of creased entries diminishes, with VG+, VG-EX and EX cards outnumbering VG and lesser examples among 1st series cards. Markedly nicer are 2nd series contributors; most are EX or better, with EX-MTs and NMs pleasant to come upon and highlighted by Tony Esposito’s RC at EX-MT. Gordie Howe’s Mr. Hockey card, (VG+ with a small corner crease), refreshingly includes “193” on the back, with both versions of Phil Esposito’s Art Ross/Hart card present. Bobby Orr’s regular (#24) issue, (with two subtle light back creases), displays better than its technical (VG+) grade, with 209-Orr Norris Trophy (stained and otherwise VG) and 212-Orr All-Star (VG-EX) also notable, as are the two checklists; 31-2nd Series is marked (o/w VG), while unmarked and G is 132-1st Series. Multi-creased and missing a corner is 70-Hull (P), with staining and a crease affecting the last card; 231-The Stanley Cup. In summary, numerous appealing components far outnumber the lesser lights.
