Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
A groovy array of colors, nice smooth edges and first-rate surfaces are attributes here, with Topps’ 1971-72 card set again a 132-card affair and this gathering exhibiting minimal handling and wear. Ringing in with a checklist that contains 132 cards in total, the entirety of the set remains in the condition scope of EX-MT/NM with many beautiful examples showcased including the key Ken Dryden rookie card that shows in gorgeous condition. Off-center a bit left-to-right, cards #50 of Bobby Hull and #114 of Bobby Clarke show in similar condition. Other key cards presenting in the same EX-MT/NM vicinity include 20-Esposito, 70-Howe (small thin printer lines), and 100-Orr while the goals, assists and scoring leaders cards, numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the set respectively, mirror the condition of the other cards listed. The lone checklist card, #111 in the assembly of cardboard, remains unmarked and is once again, in the EX-MT/NM condition range. A lovely mid-to-high-grade offering, a fun trip down memory lane with one of the hobby’s all-time favourite sets awaits our lucky winning bidder.
