Forever popular among collectors due to its design and the key rookie cards contained in the 264-card checklist, up on the auction block is this 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee complete set that includes card #45 of HOFer Ken Dryden that has been freshly slabbed by PSA and earned a respectable VG 3 from the graders. A mid-grade set sure to appeal to collectors looking for modest example of the release, most of the cards included fall in the range of VG-EX to EX with some lesser examples at G and better EX-MT offerings also present. Other key rookies of Guy Lafleur and Marcel Dionne are found in the neighbourhood of G/VG with the Lafleur showing small creases on three of four corners and the Dionne displaying a factory print dent vertically from the bottom up towards the middle of the card. Other key cards included are #20-Esposito, #50-Hull and 100-Orr in the vicinity of EX/EX+. Others worth mentioning are #114-Clarke (G – Creasing), #193-Sittler (EX+ to EX-MT), #245-Orr Double (VG-EX/EX), #251-Orr All-Star (EX/EX-MT), and #261-Hull All-Star (EX/EX-MT). Special cards of 262-Howe (EX/EX-MT) and 263-Beliveau (VG/VG-EX) are also noteworthy, as are the two checklists, #111 (G+ to VG – marked) and #264 (VG/VG-EX – elastic mark on the border). There are 26 cards in the set which have noticeable creases while #16 shows a stain, #86 has tape residue and #186 has a pinhole.
