A complete set of 1971-72 Topps basketball cards are up for grabs. This colorful set showcasing classic 1970s style cards was broken into two series; cards #1-144 featured NBA players while cards #145-233 featured ABA players. This was Topps' first standard size basketball release in over a decade. The set includes the following PSA-graded cards; #1 Oscar Robertson (NM-MT 8), #50 Jerry West (NM-MT 8), #55 Pete Maravich (NM 7), #70 Wilt Chamberlain (NM-MT 8), #100 Lew Alcindor (EX-MT 6) and #170 Rick Barry rookie (NM 7). The set also includes raw rookie cards of #20 Spencer Haywood, ##29 Nate Archibald, #47 Dave Cowens, #63 Bob Lanier, #91 Rudy Tomjanovich, #152 Larry Brown, #165 Zelmo Beaty (small stain on back), #190 Charlie Scott, #200 Dan Issel and #224 Louie Dampier (small touches to bottom corners). The checklists #144 and #145 are unmarked with a small stain to be noted on the back of #145 which is off-center top to bottom. Other cards included are those of #2 Bill Bradley, #10 Elgin Baylor, #35 John Havlicek and #65 Walt Frazier. This set was not handled much and the condition of the raw cards generally reflects the condition of the PSA-graded cards with sharp corners and fresh colors. Expect mainly mid-grade and better for the majority of the cards with some of them having a touched corner and/or a small defect but overall a nice clean set.
