Enjoying a first-place finish in the American Division, losing just 14 games throughout the season, the Detroit Red Wings were led in points by Marty Barry in 1936-37, with Normie Smith securing 25 wins along with an impressive 2.05 GAA. Meeting the Montreal Canadiens in the semifinals, the boys from Motor City took the series in five before meeting and defeating the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup final. Champions the previous season, this would be the franchise’s first back-to-back titles. We offer a pair of autograph book page’s team-signed by the 1937 Stanley Cup-championship Red Wings. Each at 4” x 6”, with the signatures all placed on a single side of each page in a vertical row and all executed in matching dark ink, 11 have signed the first page including HOFers Ebbie Goodfellow, Herbie Lewis and Syd Howe, along with Johnny Gallagher, Bucko McDonald, Howard Mackie, John Sorell, Normie Smith, Gord Pettinger, Hec Kilrea and Mud Bruneteau, while the second sheet is signed by 5 including HOFers Jack Adams and Marty Barry, along with Pete Kelly, Ralph Bowman and Wally Kilrea. The signatures present beautifully, with light wear to the sheets. A JSA LOA will accompany.
