Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Founded by John Kinder Labatt in 1847 in London, Canada West (now Ontario), Labatt’s Brewing Company is Canada’s largest brewery, and is currently owned by Belgian brewer Interbrew. Introducing Labatt 50 ale in 1950 to commemorate half a century of partnership between the grandsons of the brewer's founder, it was the best-selling beer in the nation until 1979. We offer a vintage Labatt 50 embossed advertising sign. In solid painted plastic inserted into an original wooden frame at dimensions of 16 ½” x 21” and featuring a classic Canadian “stubby” bottle (these were discontinued in 1984, in favor of the American “long neck” style bottles), the circa 1960s/70s advertising gem sports just light surface wear to both the sign and the frame, with fading/staining to the paper label affixed to the Labatt 50 ale bottle.
