The very first player selected by the expansion Vancouver Canucks in 1970, Gary Doak saw action with four different clubs throughout his career which included winning a Stanley Cup championship with the Boston Bruins, and later served as Bruins’ assistant coach during the early-1980s. This stick used by Doak has been team-signed by the 1978-79 Bruins. A Koho 221 model with “Doak” and “25” stamped to the upper shaft, the original white ribbed tape job remains over the handle, with the blade never taped, and used as such. Good game-use is exhibited with numerous marks to the blade and lower shaft, with some shipping along the top edge of the blade. A piece of stick tape has been affixed to one side of the shaft, with 24 signatures applied to the tape including Doak, along with Cheevers, Cherry (final season as Bruins’ coach), Cashman, Miller, Wensnik, O’Reilly, Middleton, Secord, Milbury, Gilbert, Marcotte, McNab, R Smith, Park and others.
