Honoured with his number retired by the most storied club in hockey, Serge Savard received the recognition when his #18 sweater was raised to the rafters by the Montreal Canadiens on Serge Savard Night, on Nov 18, 2006. This Canadiens jersey was issued to David Aebischer for the Serge Savard Night game (he never played in the contest, and we are unsure if he served as the back-up goaltender). “Goalie Style” labeling with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests to the reverse hem and necklines respectively. Styled with the classic Habs team crest with “30” sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, the Savard “18” retirement patch is sewn to the right breast. The jersey remains in gorgeous condition with no issues. A MeiGray patch numbered "D00607" resides on the inside hem, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a “Red - Serge Savard Night w/#18 Patch – worn 11/18/06 for Serge Savard Night” specimen. An LOA will accompany from the Canadiens that states the jersey is game-issued.
