Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
With Dallas Cowboys head coach Tom Landry derisively nicknaming Miami’s defensive unit of the early-1970s the “No-Name Defense” due to the supposed lack of high-profile players, the Dolphins managed to go undefeated in 1972 and win Super Bowl VII – the only team in history to achieve the feat, with nine members selected to the Pro Bowl. Celebrating the undefeated Dolphins of '72, we have a team-signed helmet. A full-size Riddell model with Dolphins decals over each side, approx 25 have signed throughout in matching black marker, including Griese, Csonka, Anderson, Moore, Fernandez, Little, Kiick, Den Herder, Morris, Buoniconti, Langer, Kolen, Crusan, Jenkins, Kindig, Fleming, Briscoe, Scott, Stanfill, Kuechenberg, E Jenkins, Stowe and a few others. The signatures display beautifully with no issues, with a JSA sticker numbered “W658592” affixed to the lower reverse along with a “Witnessed Protection Program” COA to accompany.
