The premier selection at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins netted the game-tying goal vs Pittsburgh on Oct 9th to serve as his first NHL goal in his first match, and concluded his impressive rookie season with 52 points in 62 regular-season contests. The Burnaby native was also the first 18-year old rookie to record five assists in a single contest. From his rookie campaign, we offer a photo-matched Edmonton Oilers “retro” jersey worn by Nugent-Hopkins in 2011-12. An Elite label and “56” size tag is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic oil drop team crest with embroidered detailing, “93” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Nugent-Hopkins” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Sporting nice game-use with stick and puck marks to the front and sleeves, there are also burns and material pulls, with some minor paint transfer visible to each sleeve. Getty Image #134068597 (Nov 22, 2011 - 2 assists in game) has been matched to the large stick mark beneath the collar, to the marks over the lower right sleeve, and to the material pull near the number on the right sleeve. The “Set 1” team patch resides on the inside hem near a MeiGray crest numbered “I06128”, with an LOA to accompany, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Retro Set 1” specimen.
