Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

One of the game’s all-time greatest, with his skill set and ferocious play seldom matched, Bobby Hull earned endless hardware throughout his HOF career including the Lester Patrick, Hart Memorial and Lady Byng, along with a trio of Art Ross Trophies. From the season that witnessed 62 points in 65 games along with his selection to the NHL Second All-Star Team, we have a stick used by The Golden Jet in 1962-63. A Northland Pro model, “Hull” is stamped to the upper shaft with “7” handwritten, with stamps from team suppliers Olympic to each side of the shaft (Hull only wore the #7 jersey with the Black Hawks in 1962-63). The original black tape is intact over the knob, with the blade tape removed (outline visible). The stick shows heavy wear throughout including marks to the shaft and blade as well as paint transfer to the upper shaft, with additional wear at the toe of the blade including a minor crack. The blade is also somewhat worn-down along the underside, with the possibility of later use off the ice.
