Canada’s KSA firm is responsible for the grading and encapsulation of these various vintage cards, with Berk Ross’ 1951 Hit Parade of Champions multi-sport set represented by three of the four hockey subjects featured in the rather crude yet still charming set. The all-Hall of Famer lineup includes Bill Durnan and Bill Quackenbush cards at 6 ENM, with Black Jack Stewart’s a tad superior at 6.5 ENM+. Another three are ’54-55 Parkies and include 3 VGs of 8-Bernie Geoffrion and Jacques Plante’s #99 action card, as well as an autographed Camille Henry RC at 2 G. Nice penmanship is also featured on Denis DeJordy’s ‘61-62 Topps rookie card, the latter graded 5 EX. Miscellaneous Parkhurst cards from five different issues complete the lot and we’ll go chronologically, beginning with ‘59-60 #42-Noel Price (6 ENM) and followed by ’60-61 #32-Barry Cullen (6.5 ENM+). There are two ’61-62s; 21-Val Fonteyne (4 VGE) and 44-Wayne Connelly RC (3 VG), with ’62-63 Red Kelly at 4 VGE. Concluding and the overall condition leader at 7 NM is ’63-64 #56-Billy McNeill. The varied lot offers multiple options, with the vast majority of the KSA holders scratch and scuff-free, although light scuffs are spotted on the holder of the Durnan card.
