Enjoying the best years of his career with the New York Mets between 1998 and 2001, Mike Piazza cemented his legacy with a thrilling two run home run to propel the Mets to a 3-2 win over Atlanta in the first game back in New York after September 11th. This bat was used by Piazza during the 2001 season with the New York Mets. A Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick model measuring out to 34 1/2”, Piazza’s name and “Mets” have stamped into the barrel while a hand written “31” is found on both ends in black marker along with “32Y2 Piazza” in pen. The knob also features a stamp of “250 01” for the batch and production year. Light use is exhibited with numerous ball marks, ink transfers, and small indentations into the wood. Additionally, a crack is found on the backside of the barrel. Piazza has signed a black ink signature to the barrel between the center label and name stamping that displays without issue. A JSA sticker numbered “AC82013” has been affixed to the barrel and is accompanied by a matching certificate of authenticity. It should be noted that Piazza predominantly used Mizuno bats in game during his career and used Rawlings mostly during batting practice except for later in his career.
