Re-signing with Warner Bros. in 1996 to the tune of $80 million – the largest recording contract in history at the time, R.E.M. had previously received seven Grammy nominations for Out of Time in 1992, and we offer a framed ‘Monster’ award presented to Jimmy Mulvoy for the band’s follow-up to Automatic for the People from 1994, with a copy of the CD mounted with a plaque beneath listing the particulars including “to recognize sales in the UK of more than 600,000 copies of the Warner Bros Album Monster” – framed to 16” x 16”. Additional items include a Bare Naked Ladies award presented to Scott Shannon for sales exceeding 4 million copies (Multi-Platinum), with CDs mounted to a decorated backdrop and plaque listing the particulars, framed to 13” x 20”. This is followed by a Growing Up Live CD set signed by Peter Gabriel (JSA Basic Cert), a Pixies Doolittle CD signed by the band (JSA Basic Cert), a Goo Goo Dolls Better Days CD signed by the band (no sleeve, with JSA Basic Cert), a 1985 Live Aid program with ticket stub, a Live 8 program (2005), a 2015 Juno Awards booklet, 1996 Grammy booklet and 1995 MTV Music Awards booklet (all the booklets/programs show wear).
