A fan favourite with a larger-than-life personality in his time with the Montreal Canadiens, PK Subban would win the Norris Trophy in 2013 as the league’s best defenseman. This lot offers a pair of gloves worn by Subban in his Norris winning season of 2012-13 that have been photo-matched to the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs. The gloves are accompanied by a helmet worn by Subban the following season. First, the gloves are Easton Pro models in the Habs red, white and blue colours with Easton wordmarks screened onto the cuffs and a logo patch sewn on to the thumbs. Exhibiting heavy use, the palms have holes and heavy rubbing to them with rest of the glove showcasing fraying, marks, and staining. The interiors show Subban’s handwritten number “76” in black ink. A hologram sticker from the Canadiens is found on the cuff of the right glove. The helmet is an Easton E400 model worn by Subban during the 2013-14 season. In royal blue with intact strapping and harness, Canadiens decals are seen on each side with “76” decals affixed to the front crown and lower reverse along with an NHL decal. Good game use is shown with numerous scratches, marks and surface abrasions. Regarding the photo-matches for the gloves, Getty Image #168509320 (May 9, 2013 vs Ottawa – Game 5 Eastern Conference Quarter Finals) has been matched to the wear on the “O” of the Easton logo on the right cuff as well as to the mark on the “S” on the left cuff. A signed 8x10 photo of Subban will also be included. The gloves come with a team LOA.
