Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Bobby Hull’s paramount rookie card indeed headlines this 1958-59 Topps assembly, its near-precise centering being the first aspect that strikes the beholder. Receiving KSA’s mark of 4 VGE, card #66 exhibits slight rounding of the bottom corners and light dings to those above and is joined by examples that are mostly in the VG to EX range. The Eddie Shack RC and #1-Armstrong (both F) are condition exceptions with multiple light creases and wear, while miscut Gordie Howe (otherwise VG+ with a stain on the reverse) and Terry Sawchuk (o/w VG-EX) cards lead the star power. Creases are not plentiful throughout and when present are small and generally light. Notables at VG are Hall of Famers Hall, Bucyk, Pilote and Worsley, along with 14-Wharram RC, while 63-Lindsay (VG+) and 65-Ullman (VG-EX) are nicer. So too is 52-Delvecchio (ST), one of 16 with EX characteristics. Bobby and friends and foes will be colorful additions to your vintage stash.
