Known by numerous monikers throughout it's history in Massachusetts including the Red Caps, Rustlers and Bees, the Boston Braves moved to Milwaukee in 1953 after almost a century in Beantown before relocating again to Atlanta, in 1966. The first season of MLB baseball in Wisconsin since 1901, the 1953 season witnessed the Braves finish in second place in the NL, thirteen games behind the league-champion Brooklyn Dodgers. This ball has been team-signed by the 1953 Milwaukee Braves. A Spalding Official NL Giles sphere, 22 have signed (seven signatures have been deemed clubhouse examples), including Pafko, Buhl, Bruton, Thorpe, Pendleton, Adcock, Gordon, St Claire, Hanebrink, Dittmer, Cooper, Perini (owner) and a few others. The clubhouse signatures include Grimm, Mathews, Crandall, Spahn, Cooper, Bickford and Don Liddle. Most of the signatures display well despite being a bit light, with an even coat of toning to the ball. A PSA/DNA LOA will accompany.
