Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/21/2022
Naming the Super Bowl trophy in his honour as a testament to his achievement as the greatest coach in football history, Vince Lombardi never had a losing season, with his all-time record of 105 wins, 35 losses and 6 ties utterly amazing. Passing suddenly from cancer in 1970, we have a framed display featuring a cheque signed by the two-time Super Bowl champion. A Green Bay Packers Inc cheque dated June 3, 1957 and drawn on the Kellogg-Citizens National bank, it has been signed by Lombardi in blue ballpoint, with the display also including an 8” x 10” image, “Packers Play of the Year” 1964 Philadelphia football card, detailed biographic plaque and a few other items, with the display framed to full dimensions of approx 20” x 32 ½”. A JSA LOA will accompany, and we should note some wear to the frame.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
