Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Led by the elegant skilled hands of Mario Lemieux along with exceptional veteran HOF talent including Paul Coffey and Bryan Trottier, the Pittsburgh Penguins won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1990 and 1991, and we offer a group of Pens memorabilia including singed items. Included, we have gloves that appear to have been used by Craig Adams (2008-2015), with the Easton models in Pens colours sporting “Adams” embroidered to each, with the pair showing good use. This is followed by nine vintage copies of scoresheets – including from the 1990 and 1991 Stanley Cup finals (each sheet is 8 ½” x 14”), a set of four attached 1993 Pens Stanley Cup finals fantasy tickets (toning and light staining), 8” x 10” photos signed by Rick Tocchet and Kevin Stevens (3), team-issued photos signed by Lemieux and Ron Francis, a 1991 Lemieux archive media photo with COA and receipt, three Stanley Cup fantasy tickets including one signed by Lemieux, a team card signed by Rod Buskas, two 1990 All-Star Game fantasy tickets, and an index card signed by HOFer Andy Bathgate. The lot also contains a modern framed print of the 1976-77 Charlestown Chiefs (Slapshot film), a generic pair of 1980s Cooper gloves that show heavy use and a generic pair of 1970s Bauer Supreme skates that also show use. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
