Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Historic as the very first franchise player of the New York Islanders, with the club selecting the Toronto native 1st overall in 1972, Billy Harris spent parts of eight seasons on Long Island before additional time in California and Ontario. From his final NHL season and second stint in Los Angeles, we offer a Kings jersey worn by Harris in 1983-84. A worn CCM label remains affixed to the collar with embroidered CCM* and Adidas crests to the reverse hem, with the sweater measuring out to roughly a size 48. Styled with the classic Kings’ embroidered crown team crest, the vintage V-neck has been accented with “14” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual-colour twill. The jersey also sports a dual-clasp fight strap. Exhibiting a few marks to the front, the jersey also shows light scrapes and burn marks to the sleeves, with very light pilling to the interior. A COR from MeiGray will accompany.
