This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
First dressing for Leksands IF in his native Sweden before making his NHL debut for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2000-01, goaltender Johan Hedberg guarded the creases of five different NHL clubs while also presenting Sweden at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. From his sophomore NHL season, we have a Penguins jersey worn by Hedberg in 2002-03. “Goalie Style” labeling with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar along with a Pens “Game Worn Authentic” tag signed by equipment manager Steve Latin, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the classic Penguins team crest in tackle twill, “1” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with alternate crests over each shoulder. Sporting puck marks over the front and sleeves, there is also red paint transfer to each lower sleeve, with a large burn mark with resulting slit to the material just beneath the number on the right sleeve. There is also a second slit to the upper right sleeve. An LOA from the Penguins will accompany.
