Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
The sport's most dominant club throughout the first decade of the 20th century, the Ottawa Senators won Stanley Cup championships six times in just eight seasons from 1903 to 1910, with the team featuring some of the greatest player's in history including Cyclone Taylor, Art Ross, Clint Benedict, Frank "One-Eyed" McGee, Harvey Pulford and many others. Extremely scarce, antique hockey pins are almost unheard of in the hobby, with specimens rarely if ever surfacing - especially examples for one of the greatest teams in history. We offer that, with a circa-1930s Ottawa Senators pin. Featuring crossed sticks topped with a Senators enamel logo, the fastener is intact on the reverse, with no maker's marks or hallmarks. Showing light overall wear and displaying beautifully, this is one of only a few examples of this pin we have ever encountered.
