Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Spending 13 seasons in the world’s fastest league while skating for five different NHL clubs, Sergio Momesso was drafted by his hometown Montreal Canadiens in 1983 and concluded his career with his final 31 games played with St Louis. This Blues jersey was worn by Momesso during his first stint with the club in 1988-89. A torn Maska Air-Knit label with handwritten “52” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered Custom Crafted and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring an attractive vinyl and tackle twill blue note team crest with “St Louis” embroidered, the “Blue Set 2” sweater has been accented with tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with the Dan Kelly memorial patch over the right shoulder and Barclay Plager crest over the left. The dual-clasp fight strap is intact, and it shows minor fraying. Showing great game-use with dark marks over the front band, there are a few faint burns visible, with a large team repair to the interior beneath the collar from a fight. Some of the stitching along the top center of the nameplate has also given way.
