Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
The first time in NHL history any player breached the 200-point plateau, Wayne Gretzky led the Edmonton Oilers with 212 points in 1981-82, but the club was shocked after losing to the Los Angeles Kings in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Originating from the personal collection of Norm Scully, we have a framed 1981-82 Edmonton Oilers team photo signed by seven. At 8” x 10”, the team photo pictures the full squad with each player listed beneath, with “Best Wishes Norm” handwritten within the upper left corner, with each signing beneath the image in ballpoint, including Dave Hunter, Randy Gregg, Dave Lumley, Paul Coffey, Glenn Anderson, Bill Tuele (public relations director) and Pat Hughes. The signatures present nicely, with no issues visible for the team photo. A signed LOA from Norm Scully will accompany.
Joining the Toronto Nationals of the Metro Junior B Hockey League in 1974-75 as a team trainer, Norm Scully spent a trio of seasons serving the club, including in 1976-77 when the team was renamed the Seneca Nationals and was graced by the presence of none other than Wayne Gretzky. We offer a number of items from Scully’s personal holdings from his time as trainer, including desirable pucks he collected from both the NHL and WHA.
