Captaining the Montreal Canadiens to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1930 and 1931, Sylvio Mantha spent all but four games of his 14-season career with the Habs. Regarded as one of the best two-way defencemen of his day, Mantha was elected to the HHOF in 1960 and passed away in 1974 at age 72. Offered here, is this is this CCM Heritage series Montreal Canadiens jersey with a cut signature of Mantha’s embedded into the back number. Remaining in excellent condition and tagged a size “XL” at the interior collar, a CCM Heritage jock tag is found near the front hem. The front of the thick woven style sweater is styled with the Canadiens classic “CH” team crest in layered felt with a similar crest affixed to the right sleeve. Mantha’s number “2” in felt over twill style has been sewn to the reverse with the cut signature inserted into the bottom of the number. Signed in black fountain ink, the autograph displays without issue, while creasing is seen to the paper piece. A hologram is affixed alongside the number with the piece also accompanied by a JSA LOA.
