Selected 7th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2001, Mike Komisarek debuted with the Habs in 2002-03 after two seasons with the University of Michigan. Three NHL clubs would require his services, with the US also represented at the World Juniors and World Championships. From his fourth season in Montreal, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by the New York native in 2006-07, specifically in the Hall of Fame Game, played on Nov 11, 2006. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and reverse neckline respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, “8” in layered tackle twill is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with “Komisarek” across the nameplate in single white twill. The HHOF Game crest resides over the right breast. Worn for a single contest, the jersey exhibits light wear which includes a burn mark on the left shoulder. A patch from MeiGray numbered “D00314” sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany, and according to the MeiGray population report, the jersey is a “Red – HHOF Game 11/11/06” specimen.
