This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
An NCAA record holder with the University of Michigan, John Madden enjoyed parts of 13 NHL seasons, primarily with New Jersey, where he won Stanley Cup championships in 2000 and 2003. From his second-last season with the club, we have a Devils alternate captain’s jersey worn by the Barrie native during the 2007-08 regular season and Stanley Cup playoffs. A label with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a large Devils team crest, “11” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Madden” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. Sporting just light wear, we should note that each cuff was customized, with the circumference shortened. A patch from MeiGray numbered “E06371” sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Devils to accompany, and according to the MeiGray population report, the jersey is a “White Set 3 Playoffs w/A” specimen.
