Named “Card Set of the Year” for each and every year from 1989 to and including 2004, Upper Deck entered the baseball card market in 1989, and was so popular, the company pre-sold its entire 1990 baseball stock before the year began. This lot contains a 1990 Upper Deck baseball Low Series factory sealed case. Featuring improved photography along with a sleek design and tamper-proof holograms, the set is complete at 800 cards (the first 700 cards make up the Low Series, while the remaining 100 cards are exclusive to the High Series), with the possibility of rookie cards from Larry Walker, Sammy Sosa, Juan Gonzalez and John Olerud. The case contains 20 unopened boxes, with 36 packs per box, and 15 cards per pack, for a total of 10,800 cards. Remaining sealed, the case shows just light expected age and storage wear which includes some creases and surface indentations, with the sealing tape cut at one side of the case (despite this, the case remains sealed, with the contents undisturbed.
