Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Some Motown madness is to consider here and stars Steve Yzerman, the man who was oh so instrumental in helping Detroit return to the pinnacle of the hockey world after more than four decades, leading the Red Wings to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in the 1990s. Overall, near-perfect centering strikes the beholder of these 1984-85 Topps Yzerman rookie cards, with one appearing MINT and three others close at NM-MT or NM-MT+. Two others are NM with a small stain in the border (lower right corner region), while another two are EX-MT. Complements are 15 wrappers (all but three have tears only visible from the back) and a display box. The latter has been flattened and would have to be glued or taped back together since the panels were torn apart. Creasing to the top of the box (that features Hall of Famer Clark Gillies) is also to note. This item is relisted from our Fall 2021 auction as Josh Cunningham from ON (Canada) failed to honor his bid.
