Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Brett Hull, the man partly responsible for “speculating” among collectors, (during the season that cards like this were released, Brett’s prolific scoring sent his rookie cards soaring in price guides in a short period of time and folks started to look for other similar players/performances to “invest” in), appears here on a high grade Topps RC. PSA deemed this card #66 worthy of MINT 9 status, with just 42 out of over 2800 total submissions of the card ever scoring higher in the history of PSA. The well-centered card pictures The Golden Brett with his sights seemingly set on the scoring marks of his father Bobby, numbers which Brett would surpass during his 18-plus seasons of blasting pucks past NHL goalies. At the end of it all were 741 regular season markers, with just Gretzky, Howe, Jagr and Ovechkin scoring more. This Hull will be a marvelous score, with a few light scratches to the front of the holder to be aware of.
