Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Like Bill Durnan, another legendary Canadiens’ goalie decades before him, Ken Dryden’s career was relatively short compared to many but successes and laurels were numerous. In just seven full seasons and 20 games in his initial playoff run, Dryden was instrumental in the Habs drinking from Lord Stanley’s trophy six times! Kids sure were surprised when seeing Ken’s desirable rookie card during his official rookie campaign as a goalie wearing his mask on a hockey card was up until then unheard of. What a great image and a great design, with this example of card #45 awarded a mark of 8.5 NMM+ by KSA. A little edge roughness and minuscule corner touches are to note, with white borders and an apparent gorgeous surface among the attributes. A couple of subtle light scratches/scuffs to the KSA holder are mentioned for accuracy. The most important card in O-Pee-Chee’s ever-popular 1971-72 set awaits your big-time collection.
