Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
A four-time All-Star, and winner of the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2011, Doug Weight saw action in over 1,200 NHL contests and donned the patriotic stars and stripes for international competition throughout his career including at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. From his first season in The Gateway to the West, we have a St Louis Blues alternate captain’s jersey worn by the Michigan native in 2001-02. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and CCM crests over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic blue note team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “39” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Weight” across the affixed nameplate in royal blue twill. Light game-use is visible on the garment, with a few random marks present, including beneath the front shoulder. The team patch is screened to the inside hem near a label from Custom Crafted.
