Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Selected first overall in 2006 ahead of superstars Jonathan Toews and Jordan Staal, Erik Johnson made his NHL debut for St Louis in 2007-08, and is currently in his 12th season with the Colorado Avalanche, where he serves as an alternate captain. This Blues jersey was worn by the Minnesota native in 2009-10, where he scored 39 points in 79 games. A label with “58+” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic blue note team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “6” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Johnson” across the affixed nameplate in royal blue twill. Sporting a few dark marks from game-use over the front and sleeves, there is also a small stain just above the team crest – possibly blood. The team patch is screened to the inside hem, and it denotes the garment as a “Set 1” specimen. A COA from the Blues will accompany.
