An All-Star in junior with the Portland Winter Hawks and earning a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team after his first season with Boston in 1987-88, Glen Wesley enjoying a lengthy career, with the second half spent in two stints in Carolina. The Red Deer native would win a Stanley Cup championship with Carolina in 2006, and have his number retired by the club upon his retirement. This Hurricanes alternate captain’s jersey was worn by Wesley in 1999-00. A CCM label with “2” handwritten sits affixed to the collar near a size “56” fly tag, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with an attractive multi-coloured Hurricanes team crest with embroidered detailing, the solid red V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with alternate crests sewn to each shoulder. There is also the NHL 2000 crest and Raleigh Arena inaugural patch over the right breast, with the “3” crest over the left shoulder to honour Steve Chiasson. The collar has also been customized, with material added along it’s entirety. Nice game-wear is present, with marks and faint burns over the front and sleeves, and light pilling to the collar.
