Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/2/2022
Hailing from the most important international hockey series in history, and produced for the four matches in Canada which took place on Sept 2nd (Montreal Forum), Sept 4th (MLG), Sept 6th (Winnipeg Arena) and Sept 8th (Pacific Coliseum), we offer a 1972 Canada-Russia series program, with this example augmented with almost 40 signatures, including Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. At 10” x 10” and featuring Russian and Canadian flags on the cover along with a name handwritten, signers include the aforementioned Trudeau on his page, along with Eagleson, Sinden, Ferguson, Savard (2), Dryden, Johnston, Park (2), Bergman, Glennie, White, Lapointe, Stapleton, Hadfield, Martin (2), Perreault, Dionne, P Mahovlich, Parise, Cashman, Berenson, Tallon, Cournoyer, Clarke, F Mahovlich, T Esposito, Henderson, Mikita, Hull, Gilbert, P Esposito, Awrey, Ratelle, Ellis and Vladislav Tretiak. The signatures display beautifully and have been placed on varying pages, usually by the player’s photo, with the majority executed in blue felt tip marker. The program itself shows heavier wear with toning, minor staining and a few large creases to the cover.
