The third hockey set issued by the card giant and sticking to the formula of American based NHL teams only, the 1958-59 Topps set is complete at 66 cards, with the key card the heavily desirable Bobby Hull rookie. We offer a starter set that contains 34 of the 66 cards needed for a complete set, along with 9 duplicates - for a grand total of 43 cards.
With an overall condition range of approx VG/EX to EX, and missing key cards 13-Hall, 30-Shack rookie and 66-Hull rookie, highlights include; 36-Pilote EX/MT+ (slight corner fuzz bottom right); 40-Bucyk EX to EX/MT (OC 60/40, slight corner fuzz and dent); 2-Sawchuk (light surface wear), 8-Howe (light surface wear, factory print line on left elbow) and 52-Delvecchio (surface snow) all VG/EX to EX; 39-Worsley VG to VG/EX (corner wear and slight OC); 65-Ullman (creased). The 9 duplicates include; 8-Howe VG/EX to EX (tiny dings bottom corners); 26-Pilote (top border damage and corner wear) and 40-Bucyk (big stains on back, front looks VG/EX to EX) both FR to GD; 39-Worsley PR to FR (miscut and creased); 5-St-Laurent (2); 15-Lunde; 17-Johnson; and 51-Gendron.
