Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Winning hockey’s greatest prize while a member of the Los Angeles Kings in 2012, goaltender Jonathan Bernier has notably backstopped six different NHL clubs while also representing his nation internationally. From his time with Toronto, we have a Leafs alternate jersey that was worn by Bernier sometime before the 2016-17 NHL season, according to the accompanying LOA from the team (it is unknown if the jersey was worn in games, practices or training camp). “Goalie Style” labeling along with a “58” size tag resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style felt Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “45” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Bernier” across the nameplate. Sporting light game-use, there are just a few marks visible, with a large burn just above the left breast. An LOA will accompany from the Leafs.
