Traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs after almost a decade as the New York Islanders flagship player, John Tavares returned to his hometown in style, registering 88 points including 47 goals in 2018-19. These gloves were worn by the superstar during the games the Leafs wore their Toronto St Pats uniforms, on March 15th vs Philly, and March 16th vs Ottawa (Tavares earned two points), and they have been photo-matched to the March 16th contest (images from March 15th appear to show the matching gloves, but none of the images can serve as a definitive photo-match). CCM Pro models in St Pats green with white accents/identifiers, “JT” and “91” are embroidered to each glove in stylized letters/numerals. “1” is also handwritten to the left glove. Featuring rarely seen solid black palms, the gloves show good game-use, with rubbing to the material in numerous spots. Getty Image #1136417479 (March 16, 2019 vs Ottawa) has been matched to a number of wear marks over the thumb section and just above on the right glove, with the image also matched to the wear marks to the material on the outside of the index and middle finger on the left glove. An LOA from the Toronto Maple Leafs will accompany these desirable St Pats gloves.
