Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
National rock gods as the best-selling Canadian band in Canada for two decades, The Tragically Hip were formed in historic Kingston, and released 13 studio albums throughout their tenure. With the tragic loss of frontman Gord Downie to cancer in 2017, the group no longer performs under the band name. This lot includes a 2005 Hipeponymous CD box set signed by the band, a 1992-93 VIP pass signed by Downie, a Man Machine Poem tour booklet, Gord Downie 1999 Woodstock promotional figurine and three booklets of 10 Hip stamp sets with folder. The CD box set has been signed on the first page by all five in black marker, with light wear to the case, while the 2 ½” x 4” pass has been signed by Downie in gold marker. The Man Machine Poem booklet shows handling wear (9 ½” x 13”), with no issues for the 6” figurine (these were manufactured from ABS resin and were produced as promotional items for customers who purchased the live CD set through the Columbia House music club subscription service). LOAs from JSA will accompany the CD box set and signed pass.
