One of just two National League clubs in history to register twice as many wins as losses during the regular season, the New York Mets went 108-54 in 1986 en route to one of the most noteworthy championships in history. Cited in 2021 by ESPN as a top contender for best MLB team of the previous half-century, the Mets defeated Boston in the Fall Classic, their most current championship to date. Signed at a reunion, this ball has been team-signed by the 1986 World Champion New York Mets. A Rawlings Official MLB Selig ball, 31 have signed in matching blue ballpoint, including Hernandez, Gooden, Strawberry, Johnson, Dykstra, Wilson, Backman, Orosco, Knight, Lyons, Berenyi, Teufel, Mitchell, Leach, Johnson, Santana, Harrelson (third base coach), Stottlemyre (pitching coach) and others. Surviving in high grade, the signatures are flawless, and the ball remains bright white with no toning or marks. A JSA LOA will accompany this pristine specimen.
