Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Miles “Tim” Horton was indeed a rookie when cards like this were discovered in little boxes of Parkhurst cards during the 1952-53 season, the write-up on the back of card #58 reading, “After 3 seasons of consistent point getting with Pittsburgh, he won himself a regular slot with Leafs this year.” Horton’s legend grew during his 18 seasons of rock-solid play with Toronto and continued on for another four campaigns before his untimely tragic death, rendering his rookie cards highly desirable. This example was inspected by KSA and graded 3 VG, with three creases not obvious/unsightly at first glance and much more evident when checking out the back. Corner wear and a notch in the top edge are also to note. A respectable and attractive lower grade example for sure, with some scratches/scuffs to the front of the KSA holder also to note.
