Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Winning five consecutive Stanley Cup championships in the late-1950s, the Montreal Canadiens were on top of the hockey world, with the fifth title also fittingly serving as the very last campaign for legendary Habs superstar Maurice Richard. Hailing from the 1960-61 NHL season when the Canadiens wore their dynasty crowns and Boom Boom netted 50 goals, we offer a team-signed stick. Full adult size, the rare “Battleship” Pro-Handmade model sports stamps on the blade and shaft, with most of the striping accents intact. 19 have signed one side of the shaft in matching ballpoint, including deceased HOFers Plante (quite faded), Beliveau, Moore, Richard, Harvey, Geoffrion (quite faded), Johnson and Blake, along with Bonin, Hicke, Backstrom, Marshall, Talbot, Gendron, Tremblay, Langlois, Goyette, Turner and Charlie Hodge. The signatures display nicely unless otherwise noted, with light wear to the stick including a thin layer of shellac.
