Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Guarding NHL creases in over 275 contests, Gary Edwards was a first-round draft selection of St Louis in 1968, and enjoyed time with the club at the beginning and conclusion of his noted career. From the early-1980s, we have a stick used by Edwards in circa 1981-82, possibly with St Louis, Pittsburgh or Edmonton (an image from his lone season with St Louis in 1981-82 shows Edwards using a matching model stick, but only spending 10 games with the club, the possibility exists of the stick originating from his time after the Blue, where he saw 6 games with the Penguins before retiring, or before his season with the Blues in 1980-81, when he was with Edmonton). A Northland Pattern Made model with “Edwards” stamped to the upper shaft, the original black tape is in place over the blade and paddle, and white over the knob. Moderate use is shown with wear to the taped section of blade including small notches from the stick making contact with the tips of Edwards skates, with some additional wear over the shaft and discolouration to the taped knob.
