Strengthened by the addition of HOFers Herb Gardiner on the blueline and George Hainsworth between the pipes, the Montreal Canadiens concluded the 1926-27 season – their 10th in the NHL – in second place in the Canadian Division, with iconic legend Howie Morenz leading the club in goals, assists and points. This rare original framed panoramic team photo features the 1926-27 Montreal Canadiens. At approx 7” x 22 ½”, the glossy stock image depicts the full club and management posed outside what is presumably the Montreal Forum, with Howie Morenz, Herb Gardiner, Aurel Joliat, George Hainsworth, Pit Lepine and others all lined up in their Habs finery. The period print exhibits a few stains and small creases, with a bit of material loss on the upper left and bottom right corners. Set into a larger frame to full dimensions of 10” x 25 ½”, the photo displays beautifully.
