O’Brien Cup champions as winners of the Canadian Division in 1930-31, the Montreal Canadiens met and defeated the league’s first-place finishers in the Boston Bruins in the Semifinals, and slipped past Chicago’s Windy City boys to grasp the club’s second-consecutive Stanley Cup championship. This rare miniature framed panoramic team print features the 1930-31 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. At approx 2 ½” x 9 ½” and possibly available for retail sale during the era, the period print produced by noted lensman Rice from his team-signed original photograph depicts the entire club and management posed including Howie Morenz, Aurel Joliat, George Hainsworth, Sylvio Mantha, Pit Lepine and others all lined up in their wool Habs sweaters, with their facsimile signatures beneath. Corner-matted in a small 5 ½” x 11 ½” frame that shows moderate wear, the photo has had the corners clipped, with toning, wrinkles and a few creases visible.
