Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
The first NHL best-on-best showcase hosted in Florida, the 1999 All-Star Game took place at the Ice Palace in Tampa, with the North American All-Stars defeating the World All-Stars 8-6. We have a large All-Star Game banner from the event signed my members of both the North American All-Stars and World All-Stars. At approx 31” x 90”, the large vinyl banner sports 1999 All-Star Game graphics including a large NHL shield logo, with the date near the base. Approx 48 have signed in black marker, including Team North America captain Wayne Gretzky, along with Steve Yzerman, Ed Belfour, Al MacInnis, Darryl Sydor, John LeClair, Theo Fleury, Ray Borque, Ron Tugnutt, Luc Robitaille, Brendan Shanahan, Mark Recchi, Mike Modano, Keith Tkachuk, Nicklas Lidstrom, Roman Hamrlik, Sergei Krivokrasov, Nikolai Khabibulin and others. Most of the signatures display well, with some harder to decipher due to the busy dot pattern background of the design as well as the black areas. The banner also sports grommets for display and shows minor wear, with the reverse covered in a sticky substance. A hologram has been affixed, with the banner to be shipped rolled.
