Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Some decent crease-free cardboard is involved in this all-Maple Leafs offering, with the challenging first five numbered Toronto cards in Parkhurst's 1957-58 issue sure to garner interest. A small corner crease and corner wear is to mention with 1-George Armstrong (VG), with 2-Ed Chadwick RC making it to VG-EX. Wax stains are visible on the fronts of 3-Dick Duff (otherwise EX) and 4-Bob Pulford (o/w VG), while 5-Tod Sloan is VG with a small corner crease. Another five (6-Migay (ST), 7-Stewart, 8-James RC, 9-Cullen and 10-Smith) are without creases and in the VG-EX to EX range, although it should be noted that the 10 cards mentioned thus far feature a marked curvature, along with light toning. Less warped are 24-Aldcorn RC (EX) and Reay (VG-EX+). A '54-55 Tim Horton card was recently graded 4 VGE by KSA, with no unsightly flaws to the card or holder, while completing is a crease-free '52-53 Harry Lumley card with light stains and otherwise VG+. Interesting batch awaits your Leafs/Parkie stash and is worthy of consideration.
