Setting the NHL attendance record with just over 105,000 spectators, the 2014 Winter Classic pitted Original Six rivals, with the Detroit Red Wings battling the Toronto Maple Leafs on New Year’s Day, at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, with the Leafs taking the victory in a shootout. This Red Wings jersey was worn during the first period by Todd Bertuzzi. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a felt team crest and numbers utilized including “Detroit” across the chest, with the 2014 Winter Classic crest affixed to the right shoulder. The jersey shows just very light wear as expected, with a MeiGray tag sewn to the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a "Red - Winter Classic 1/1/14 at Michigan Stadium (The Big House) - NHL-MGG Set Worn Period 1 - 1/1/14 At Michigan Stadium (The Big House)" specimen. We should also note that each team wore four sets of jerseys for the Winter Classic, one for the photo-shoot on Dec 31st/pre-game warm-up, and one for each period – with the third period jersey also worn for the overtime period and shootout. An LOA from MeiGray will accompany.
